Two giants - literally - of past years of the BRSCC Porsche Championship return for our forthcoming round at Croft on 10th May.
Rick Styrin, winner of the Race Boxster Championship two years in a row, hung up his helmet at the end of 2013 having set a new record for wins in a season. Co-owner of Styrin Motors in Leeds, Rick will again drive a Boxster from the Taylors Foundary team.
Steve Warburton, Formula Palmer Audi Champion from 2001 and ex-British GT racer of a Porsche 996 GT3 Cup in British GT, has built a Class B Boxster and will challenge recent returnees Jayson Flegg and Mark Marshall. Steve, now a senior instructor at Silverstone, shared a drive with the late and much-missed Sean Edwards in 2005.
It's hard to believe that there's a cost effective Porsche racing series - but this successful championship really is!
