We are looking to get hold of a piston ring set +1mm for the 924 2.0ltr. standard bore diameter is 86.5 ours is 87.5
Really want to be racing at Donington but currently a race against time to have the engine ready, any help very much appreciated.

They are virtually impossible to get hold of nowadays from all the usual suppliers
However one source is "Total seal" piston rings which are an American aftermarket product
Best go on t'internet and search for nearest UK stockist
I think Fudge gets them from a supplier in York
Best to ask him the details

Btw, what has happened to the engine? Have some rings broken???

I'm going to contact a place about Total Seal on Monday. The rings in the engine are worn, there's plenty of blow by. But the problem wasn't that. Think it was getting water in #4 and now it's detonated on 4 quite badly and nearly blown through the gasket that went on at the weekend. Time for a refresh as there's a few other bits. All wear and tear though. Understandable in a 22 race season, very demanding on a 40 year old car!
