Hi all, my name is angus archer and we are currently well on the way building a 986 for class one of your championship, very much looking forward to joining you guys for most of this season with a bit of luck!
Firstly would like to thank Chris valentine, nick hull and Garry who have already been very friendly and helpful in pointing us in the right direction for parts and some useful tips..
Basically would like to introduce myself, and without giving away all your hard earned secrets am looking for advice / tips and tricks to get the best performance.. Obviously within the rules!
We have followed the regs closely, have fitted light flywheel and done the sump extension, shocks are currently on order, in particular I am interested in what people recommend for roll bars etc and where is the best place to purchase?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, many thanks!
General advice please!

Welcome Angus, you are about to take the ride of your life....
Cal Clive at Moluto.com [I think he raced against your Dad, Stephen of Great Missenden] for a bespoke lightweight roll cage. He and Mark are great people to deal with and are very knowledgeable and skilled. His number is 0161 427 4968.
See you at Oulton.

Re: General advice please!
Don't the boxsters have use a roll cage built by custom cages?

Correct Karl - no choice on the cage.

Ha thanks all.. We have got the correct cage all fitted and did a shakedown at Bedford autodrome on Saturday.. All good but need to improve the setup, and the driving!
Stephen is in fact my uncle, races a 993 in Amoc races, my father was Jeff who used to hillclimb an old 2.7rs..
Looking forward to Oulton, but frustrated I won't be at either Rockingham or Zandvoort!

Regards suspension roll bars:
5.8.3 Any anti-roll bar manufactured for the Porsche Boxster, Porsche 996 and Porsche 997 may be fitted provided that no modification to the mounting points is made. Modified drop links may be fitted provided they attach to the standard mounting points.
Meaning you can't use a third-party one, but you can use the GT3 roll bars which have extra adjustment holes.
