Dave,
Don't know about the pads (I use EBC which seem to work fine and are freely available) but I had same issue with getting onto Drivers Forum. Just contact Steve the site administrator, and he should give you access. it worked for me.

Hi there,

A company called Questmead based in Yorkshire should be able to sort out the pads you need, as well as relining shoes with uprated material.

I have used both Mintex and EBC pads, and prefer the feel of the Mintex's.  Its all down to personal preferance.  Dont forget to use racing brake fluid as well.  I have used both AP racing and Mintex and never had a problem.

Martin

Hello Dave

You sometimes won't see an upgrade pad identified for the 924, but our front calipers were also used on the rear on the 924 Turbo - typical Porsche.

I believe the EBC Yellow Stuff pads we use are set no DP4346.

I've got mine from Ernie in the past, but you can also get them online direct from EBC.

To score points, you need to be registered for the championship and pay the full PDA subscription. If you raced as a Guest, you won't have scored points. On the other hand it might be an admin snafu.

Take Care

Alec

I agree with Martin I prefer the feel of the mintex pads and they dont seem to fade like the EBC's and work a lot better from cold.

However I think claims of them lasting twice as long as EBC's are a little optimistic! I have also found that the shag the disks quite quickly. that combined with the additional cost of the Mintex means I will probably  only treat meself to a couple of sets a year!

I suppose we could try and get orgaanised and negotiate a bulk order discount with mintex.

Steve

Hi all

Thanks for info,

I have paid for the PDA at Brands to cover the last three rounds so I could score points, only raced one & half rounds as the car did not make it  but that’s racing, so its probibly a admin glitch

has any one got a date for the DVD? as I can not remember when Ernie said it would be out.

thanks

Dave
