I was on the damp side of the grid, so I had a bad start, dropping behind Alistair, for 7th I think. Tried to pass him into tower, but we exchanged a bit of paintwork and I lost my nearside front lights! - I eventually got past on the run down to sunny in - Not long after that, Will Disdale retired with a gear linkage problem so I was up to 5th. I think Carl Powell also had a non finish, though I am unsure why - this meant I was in 4th place and catching Paul Bainbridge, but I ran out of laps - 4th is my best finish to date though so I was very pleased.
Day 2 was probably my most enjoyable race of the year - I had a great start, out running Paul Bainbridge and Martin Todd into the first corner to see me up to 2nd place! - I knew I would not catch Steve Cheetham so I concentrated on trying to keep the ever increasing line of cars behind from passing me - I managed to hold Will Disdale off for a couple of laps but he eventually got past on the fast left right section after tower - Martin and Carl also did the same, but I manged to hold off Paul Bainbridge for the first time this year - a sure sign that we have improved the car, with a 5th place finish.
