Boxster Grid Opens Up at Autosport

For the first time since the convertible Boxster joined the 924s on the grid of the BRSCC Porsche Championship, race cars built on the 2.7 litre variant of the popular German roadster will be allowed to race with us. This will cut the cost of Porsche racing even further. The new category has been named the Sport Boxster 2.7 class, while Class A becomes the Supersport Boxster 3.2 class.

Garry Lawrence's 987 Boxster (pictured) takes pride of place on the BRSCC stand at this year's Autosport International show at the NEC, Birmingham. Lawrence finished 2018 in third place overall in Class A with 377 points, and long-time race buddy Richard Avery - taking a year out of racing to run his successful vehicle bodywork spray business in Leighton Buzzard - has given the car a makeover for the 2019 season year.
