I finished Snetterton with two broken wheel studs on a rear wheel. Pretty lucky they didn't give out until the end of the last lap of r3.
It looks like at some point in the past the studs cracked. I think the nuts got done up with the wheel on wonkey at some point. Over time the crack got bigger and weakened and corroded to the point of failure.
All the others were fine, but as a precaution I've changed the lot.
I'd recommend people running studs checking them for damage at the hub face when changing brake discs.
For info I was using conversions studs from Grayston engineering, but have now switched to some stronger ones from elite-d.co.uk
Where do I put this spare bolt? Good old technical help and advice from those in the know?
