lexan windows
fitting the window kit but before I do..do you cut out inner door skin? do you leave inner and outer weather strips? do you use the 2 holes in the door that were for the window regulator to fix the window. Thinking about fixing the window at an angle towards the car so when you close the door it slides up into place to stop it flapping. Not looked at the hardtop window yet but presumably it's bonded on. Do you keep the original trim? probably get it fitted when the winscreen gets fitted. Any pointers appreciated as ever. cheers
Re: lexan windows
Hi,
Yeah keep the weather strips and use those two upper mounting bolt holes.
No need to cut any more of the door skin out.
If you put some rubber washers / spacers (10-20mm worth I think) behind the door skin & in between the window it should tilt the glass inwards as you suggest. There is just enough room to get a nut onto the back.
You might have to re-adjust once the hard top is on to get a nice fit.
