Mogol Rally support and advice sought

Postby Chris Valentine » Thu Oct 06, 2016 1:31 pm

I have some friends who are looking at doing the Mogolia rally next year and being complete beginners at this sort of thing, they are in need of all manner of support. They have already picked a charity (Mary’s Meal - a charity organisation that fights hunger by providing daily meals to schools in food-vulnerable areas) and my department at work will support them with technology such as GPS and satellite phone hardware to drive a website showing their progress. One major need is advice and training on how to look after their car (a 15-year-old Renault Clio) and prep work on it before they set out. They are also looking for companies who might be willing to sponsor then with other essential equipment - stuff like spares for the car, tyres, etc.

This is their website:

If you can provide any help at all - even just pointers to other who might help - please respond here or contact me direct.

Thanks,
Chris.

Hi Chris,

Sara & I did a similar road trip for charity to West Africa. We had a fab time and learnt a lot especially about borders and paperwork.

Am happy to share our experience with your friends so am happy for you to pass on our details.

See you in Silverstone. :D
