Cheers Chris, I have now found out some of the info via the 924 Owners Club forum so I hope to enter.

Re: The Big 924 Race

Any chance that there could be an Invitation Class for those with non PDA conforming cars? I know of a couple of HSCC 70s Roadsports spec cars and I have a 924S that I have raced in CSCC in the past, and I would certainly be interested. The 924S probably has a similar power to weight ratio as the PD...

And another race 924 FS

Nothing to do with me but I'd vaguely know the seller,

Might need some mods to make it compliant with the regs but a good car.

Re: Interesting cheap 2.7 race Boxster

Regs can be changed if there is a willingness - although I accept that it can't be done for is year as I assume you have already got approval from the MSA for this years?

Re: Rear spoiler question

And interestingly, the "Spec Boxster" racers in the USA seem to all have the spoiler up in the photos I have seen.

Re: Rear spoiler question

Guess I was thinking of uk only.

I wonder if anyone has done a back to back comparison of lap times on a number of tracks?

Re: Rear spoiler question

Interesting, Chris. You wonder why Porsche bothered with at all then, because if you are not going fast enough to be effective on track you surely aren't on the road.

I'd have thought it was some use in the Craner Curves, and some of the corners at Silverstone or Thruxton etc

Rear spoiler question

I notice that the regs allow the rear spoiler to be either fixed up or fixed down, but I don't see any examples of the spoiler being in the up position in any of the photos.

Does anyone run with the spoiler up, and if not, why not please?

Thanks

Andy

Re: Interesting cheap 2.7 race Boxster

It didn't sell. I assume that this is the same car, so he wanted £7.5 - 8k for it? https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/60203/porsche-boxster-27-racetrackcar-road-legal Maybe allow cars like this (and 2.5s) to race in an Invitation Class, or even better, Class B with some sort of power to weigh...
