ABS sensor failures

A few cars have had ABS sensor failures when the problem has turned out to be damaged wiring. Diagnostic tools should locate which corner the sensor error is, but don't assume it's the sensor that has failed. The best way to test is to jumper the pins on the ABS control module plug and test for cont...

Broken wheel studs

I finished Snetterton with two broken wheel studs on a rear wheel. Pretty lucky they didn't give out until the end of the last lap of r3. It looks like at some point in the past the studs cracked. I think the nuts got done up with the wheel on wonkey at some point. Over time the crack got bigger and...

Wheel bearing removal tool

Anyone got a set of the bearing puller tools that I can borrow. They allow you to pull the wheel bearings out with the hub in situ.

I don't fancy pulling hubs off and taking them to be pressed.

Boxster Parts

A couple if parts nuggets I've found over the last week or so. #1 Drive Shafts - are expensive - but I've found these which are same price as used and cheaper than rebuilding old ones. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272070093747? #2 Gearbox mounts - very are expensive - but the rumour is the 996 part is ...

Re: New msa tow straps

What was the result on this? Reading on TRS web site There does appear to be a bit of misunderstanding around the implementation of the wire tow loop regulations. It is only a recommendation, not a mandatory requirement for all vehicles. Championships are able to adopt the new regulation as mandator...

Re: SILVERSTONE VIDS

We need to check if Andy walks facing sideways or that's only when he drives his car....

I used a cheap go pro replica (SJcam / £50) which records when the ignition starts and produces 10min files - so only a couple of joins/gaps to fix up after using windows movie maker.
