Hi everyone, I'm looking for a rear screen for the car (after the last one attempted to go into orbit at Rockingham!) - does anyone have a spare or know where I can get one?

Also, due to my ever-growing collection of banged-up old Porsches I do have a few bits and pieces available, notably a Harvey rollcage (if anyone is building a car), spare seat etc.

Call me on 01904 670430 (day) or 01904 654169 (evening) or respond to this post.

Richard

I would very much like that spare seat and harnesses..And a spare fire extinguisher as well...Is the seat straight after the crash?  Also, have you got a spare throttle body spacer?

cheers,

Kamal

Richard

I can get you a brand new rear screen, but they are approx £240

I thought I remember Will saying he had an old rear screen going spare, perhaps I'm wrong?

Thanks Dan - I nearly bought Will's spare screen last season (wish I had now!) but got one elsewhwere and he sold to someone else instead. I may get back to you on the new screen, but since I posted my message Eddie (one of the guys who looks after my car) has called to say he thinks he can make one himself which will obviously be a lot cheaper.

He also said he was going to build a second car (there are so many spare bits!) so I may not have anything to sell after all. Typical - jumping the gun as usual!

All the best

Richard

Hi Andy!

No pics I'm afraid, I had at mine with the trusty angle grinder, didn't take long to cut out!

Bolted the fibreglass panel in place with 4mm bolts & nylocs, no problem!

Cheers,

Tim.

Hi Andy

quite straightforward. You need to raise the headlights and pull out the rubber pads they rest on. That will give you access to the bolt that attaches the badge panel to the wing. Good quarter inch drive socket set comes in handy here

I think its self-tappers on the trailing edge, but these are visible under the bonnet. Thereafter the badge panel just slides off towards the front.

If the panel is in good condition its quite a saleable item, so easy with the angle grinder.

Hope that works.

Its where to cut it out??? and where the new panel covers.

Cheers

Andy,

I just cut mine right along the front edge of the panel, then tidied it up with the grinder.

Cheers,

Tim.

Andy,

Mine's not attached to the wings, just bolted at top & bottom.

Once you've got the old one out the way it should be quite obvious!

I'll see if I can take some pics at lunchtime.

Cheers,

Tim.
