I.T. Manager with a NHS department in Newcastle upon Tyne

Aged 47, Married with two children Jessica and James. Used to go special stage rallying when a lot younger. Retired from motor sport when the kids came along but as with most of us, once the bug bites! I have a very understanding wife, who has put up with all the mess that goes with preparing a car (its not a laundry room Trace, it’s a workshop!)

The car was built from a road car that I used to use to commute to and from work.

All the preparation work has been done by myself and James on nearly every weekend and evening. Never raced before, and cannot wait to get started!

Best advice I can give anyone contemplating building a car - buy one already done!

Achievements:
After a thoroughly enjoyable first season, the team and myself are looking forward to the new season. I am hoping to better the best race result of 6th and 11th in the series, but just taking part is the realization of a lifelong ambition.

For those thinking of joining the series, I have built my own car which was featured in the January 2006 edition of 911 and Porsche World. Everyone in the series is very friendly and helpful, with loads of suggestions and advice. Please feel free to come along and chat at the various race meetings.
